We understand that rubbish and litter can be a blight on our local communities.
Here's what we do to clean streets and collect litter:
- visit town centres daily
- visit most roads once a month
- remove accumulations of rubbish from Council land
- aim to empty litter bins before they are full
- help with your locally organised clean-ups
- respond quickly to requests for service

Street cleaning - Text - The A1
The A1
A section of the busy A1 carriageway runs through Rutland - here's what we do to keep this section of highway as tidy as possible:
- litter pick catering lay-bys on a weekly basis - all other lay-bys are picked on a regular basis
- the A1 is inspected on a regular basis - we deal with problems like abandoned vehicles and fly-tipping as a matter of priority
