Oakham Cemetery Service
The Service administers and maintains the cemetery for burials and the interment of ashes.
We are committed to providing an excellent customer service to the bereaved.
The service includes:
- Purchase and Legal transfer of the Exclusive Right of Burial (Ownership Rights for burial and cremated remains plots)
- Enquiries relating to the Cemetery
The Service of Interment includes the administration for the booking of the interment, the preparation and completion of the interment at the time of committal, and the maintenance of statutory registers and records post interment.
There are no restrictions on who can be interred within the Cemetery, however, the fees payable for the grant of exclusive burial rights and the interment fees will be doubled where the deceased is not a resident in the County of Rutland as defined in our Cemetery Regulations.
Interments may take place Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am and 3.00pm.

Oakham Cemetery is located on Kilburn Road and looked after by Rutland County Council.

The cemetery is open to the public, but please respect other visitors and the grounds as this is a place of peace and tranquillity.
