Homelessness
Information on homelessness is available on Rutland County Council's website. If you are homeless or facing homelessness, please contact the Council's Housing Options Service.
Rutland County Council also provide information on support available to people in financial crisis.
P3’s Floating Support service can provide up to 18 months of support to help you avoid homelessness and/or maintain your housing. P3 can also help in crisis situations, sustaining tenancies and gaining the skills required for independent living (such as paying bills and keeping appointments).

Shelter, Crisis and Advice Now all offer advice and support to those experiencing or facing homelessness.
If your circumstances mean that traveling is difficult, there are various schemes and organisations that may be able to help.
Housing Options
Information on your housing options, including finding a home, help available to pay rent and homelessness is available through Rutland County Council.
Right to Buy allows most council tenants to buy their council home at a discount. You may also be able to swap your council or housing association home with another tenant if you follow certain rules and get permission from your landlord.
There are several housing options available for people with SEND, including supported living and independent living.
Age UK's advice on housing options covers staying in your own home and moving elsewhere. Elderly Accomodation Counsel also offers housing and care advice for older people.
If care within the home is needed, there are many organisations offering home care services across Rutland. There are also organisations preparing and delivering meals direct to people's homes.
Staying safe
Rutland County Council's therapy offer begins with a clinical Therapy Assessment of your needs. Recommendations from this assessment can include access to grant funding for essential and necessary adaptations to your home. Longhurst Group deliver a Housing MOT service to customers across Rutland, which provides information, advice and support to help you to maintain your independence and live as safely as possible in your own home. Their Lifeline and Assistive Technology Service also offers a range of products designed to make home life easier and safer.
Age UK offer advice and guidance on preventing falls in the home. There are also activities or services working across Rutland to help to prevent falls.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service provides advice on staying safe at home, including their Home Safety checks.
The Community Safety section of Rutland County Council's website provides information on nuisance neighbours, antisocial behaviour, fire safety and more.
Rutland Neighbourhood Watch and Neighbourhood Link both provide local crime-related news and information.

Staying put
Rutland County Council's Adult Social Care team can offer advice and support on living in your own home. This may involve a care and support assessment to find out about the care and support needs you have, help you understand your situation and get the right kind of care and support, when you need it.

Personal Assistants (PAs) are employed to support children and adults with care and support needs, allowing them to be as independent as practicably possible. Tasks may include washing and dressing, meal preparation and supporting individuals to access the local community and places of interest.
Age UK's Domestic Help service can help with tasks in the home, such as cleaning, washing and ironing. Age UK has also compiled a Business Directory providing details of trusted services, traders and businesses throughout Leicestershire and Rutland.
If care within the home is needed, there are a variety of organisations providing services across Rutland.
For people experiencing dual sensory loss, local charity Vista offers an intensive, short-term Reablement Service and ongoing community support. They also offer a Befriending Service.
