Citizenship ceremony

A citizenship ceremony is a celebration of your new status as a British citizen and a warm welcome from your local community. 

When the Home Office approves your application for British citizenship, they'll invite you to contact us to arrange your ceremony. 

The ceremony date must be within six months of the Home Office approval date.

If you're a new citizen aged under 18, you don't have to come to a ceremony (a parent can collect your certificate) - but you're welcome to come if you'd like to.

How to book a ceremony 

Due to COVID-19, we're only able to offer individual ceremonies, you may bring one guest to your ceremony.
