The Adopted Local Plan sets out our planning policies for Rutland up to 2026.
It's made up of three documents:
We are reviewing and updating the plan to extend the period to 2036 and to combine the three documents into a single Local Plan.

The Core Strategy DPD sets out the vision, objectives, spatial strategy and our planning policies for Rutland.
It was found to be sound following a Public Examination in March 2011 and was adopted by us on 11th July 2011.
The Site Allocations and Policies DPD allocates sites for development and sets out and our planning policies for Rutland.
It was found to be sound following a Public Examination in November 2013 and was adopted by ourselves on 13th October 2014.
The Minerals Core Strategy and Development Control Policies DPD sets out planning polices for minerals related development in Rutland.
It was found to be sound following a Public Examination in April 2010 and was adopted by ourselves on the 11th October 2010.
In accordance with Regulation 27 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, as amended, this statement gives notice that Rutland County Council has withdrawn the Rutland Local Plan 2018-2036, which had been submitted to the Secretary of State for Examination on 3 February 2020.
