Highways plans and policies

Our Street Lighting Policy describes how we manage our street lights and make sure any equipment we use is as energy efficient as possible.

The main aims our Street Lighting Policy are to:

• make sure lights are maintained in accordance with current guidance (as far as is reasonably practicable) and minimise risk to the public
• make sure we maintain our lights to the most energy efficient standards available
• deliver an efficient lighting service to the public and road users
