Rutland residents are being reminded that a helpful and easy-to-access cost of living guide remains available both online and in local libraries.

This guide could be just the thing needed to help tackle any financial or mental health struggles people may be feeling as the cost of living continues to rise.

By visiting our Cost of Living Support page or your local library for a printed version, you will find various avenues of help and support from help with utility bills, food or Council Tax, to mental health support during what could be an overwhelming and worrying time for some.

Residents who are struggling financially also have the opportunity to apply for funding through the Household Support Fund between now and 31 March 2023. The idea of this funding is to help towards the cost of essential household items and food.

“The prospect of the year ahead whilst the cost of living crisis continues could be an understandably worrying time for some. With this in mind, we are keen to remind residents that our cost of living guide is there to help. It is important that each of us realises that the cost of living crisis is affecting everyone and asking for help, even if this is something you’ve never had to do before, is nothing to be ashamed of. If you or any of your friends or family are struggling, please reach out/ encourage others to ask for support.”

Lucy Stephenson, Leader of Rutland County Council
