We’re holding this consultation to gather feedback on a draft version of Rutland's new Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy.
This consultation closes at 5.00pm on Friday 21 July 2023.
This policy is needed to help us administer and enforce Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing, so we can make sure licensed vehicles in the county are safe, properly insured, available when and where required, and that drivers are fit to undertake their role.

Vehicles and drivers licensed by different local authorities can be used for private hire purposes in Rutland. These vehicles and drivers are not subject to this policy but must still comply with their own local authority conditions and the law.
