This is a support group for parents of children who have been diagnosed with autism or suspected of having but not yet diagnosed with autism, ASD, AS and asperger’s syndrome.

The group is relaxed and informal and can offer support to help parents through the challenging times that often come with an autism diagnosis.

The Aiming High team and a specialist autism inclusion officer will provide advice, offer support and sign post parents to further helpful information. Whatever situation you are in we will support you to make the best possible outcomes for you, your child and other members of your family.

The group meets either at Rutland Family Hub Children's Centre or on Zoom, it alternates each month, on the third Tuesday of the month from 7.00pm-8.30pm.

Aiming High also offer an Autism Resource Library, the catalogue is attached.  Parents/carers can borrow equipment to see if it helps their child or young person and then either return the item or replace it.

In December 2020 we asked families who had attended ASD support sessions and /or Intro to autism sessions to tell us how they found them and how they could be improved further. Thank you to the 17 families who responded.
