Autism Parent Support Group

Aiming High Logo Colour
Equipment for Hire Catalogue

This is a support group for parents of autistic children, either diagnosed or suspected.  The group is relaxed and informal and can offer support to help parents through the challenging times that often come with an autism diagnosis.

The Aiming High team and an Autism Specialist will provide advice, offer support and sign post parents to further helpful information. Whatever your situation, you will be supported to achieve the best possible outcomes for you, your child and other members of your family.

The group meets either at the Family Hub Children's Centre in Oakham or online on Zoom.  It alternates monthly, on the third Tuesday of the month from 7.00pm-8.30pm. Even months are via Zoom, odd months in person at the Family Hub.

The team also run a free “Introduction to Autism” course.  As above, the course runs both face to face and on zoom and is suitable for those who would like to understand more about autism, how it can present and some strategies to support.

In addition we hire out a range of specialist Autism Equipment for parents/carers to borrow to use. Please see the catalogue attached.
