The NSPCC is the UK's leading children's charity dedicated to the protection of children and prevention of abuse.

We help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening.

In England, Wales and Northern Ireland the NSPCC is unique amongst charities as it has statutory powers to intervene on behalf of children. In these nations, only local authorities and the NSPCC can apply to a court for a care, supervision, or child assessment order.

We work with families when they're going through difficult times – like battling addiction or overcoming mental health problems. We offer all kinds of support – from helping new parents care for their baby to giving professionals the tools they need to assess neglect.
