Pedestrian courses
- WalkWise - practical pedestrian training for children in year two at primary school
- Road Safety Quiz - for children in years five and six at primary school
- road safety officer - playgroups and nurseries can ask for resources or book a visit from our road safety officer
Bicycle and scooter courses
- Bikeability - levels one to three are for children aged 9 to 12
- Bikeability Plus - balance bikes is for children aged 4 to 6, learn to ride is for children aged 4 to 8. There's also a recycled bike scheme called transition
- adult cycle training
- scooter training - aimed at children in primary school year 3
Motorcycle courses
- BikeSafe - run by Leicestershire police
- Enhanced rider scheme assessment and training - a Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency scheme to improve motorcycle skills
- Crash scene management and first aid for motorcyclists - free course run by Leicestershire Fire & Rescue service
Driver training courses
These are pre-driver courses aimed at 15 to 17 year olds who live in Rutland:
- Northamptonshire Police Carkraft
- Leicestershire County Council Tjunction
- Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership
- Pass plus - practical training course for drivers to improve their skills and drive more safely. You can take the course at any time but it should be most useful to new drivers in the year after passing their test
- SAGE (Safer Driving with Age) - for drivers aged over 60 who want to feel more confident when driving
