Large vehicles in car parks other than Kilburn Road Coach Park

Please note that coaches and campervans are generally not allowed on other car parks due to their size. In car parks (with exception of this one Kilburn Road Coach park) vehicles longer than 5.5 metres and heavier than 7.5T are usually banned from accessing the car parks and parking, as well as sleeping being banned; this is due to infrastructure, historic nature and community / environmental impact of the car parks.  Penalty Charge Notices may be issued.  The length/weight rule may be shown on entrance signs, and the noticeboards with the no sleeping rule. Campervans shorter than 5.5 metres could be accommodated in the bays that are long enough. Longer and heavy vehicles for events, where safe and favoured by the Council, may apply for a licence to use the car parks.
