How to report an overflowing public sewer or get advice on when you need to seek advice from a water authority when carrying out building works
Severn Trent Water own and manage the network of public sewers.
We advise you to seek advice from the relevant water authority if you intend to either:
- build an extension over or within three metres of a public sewer
- construct a new building over or within three metres of a public sewer
- make a new direct or indirect drainage connection to a public sewer
