Disposing of sharps

Sharps are needles, syringes, blades (such as scalpels) and other medical instruments that are used in healthcare.

If you have to dispose of sharps at home, you will need to arrange a regular clinical waste collection. You can do this by emailing: environment@rutland.gov.uk or by calling: 01572 722 577.

You must not bring sharps or sharps boxes to our offices or any other Council building. If you do, we will ask you to take it home and contact us to arrange collection.
