School Uniform Grants

School clothing grants are payments given at the discretion of local authorities to assist with the cost of school clothing for state-maintained school pupils whose families are receiving particular state benefits or have a low income.

Any monies received from the government towards the cost of school clothing are delegated to schools and it is, therefore, down to the individual policy of each school as to whether or not discretionary payments are made.

Contact you child's school to see if they offer any financial support for school clothing.

Each school decides its uniform and must not discriminate based on gender, race, disability, sexual orientation or belief.
