Offers of secondary school places for September 2022 were sent out on the national offer day, 1 March 2022.
A late application can still be submitted for a secondary school place for September but it is important to bear in mind that schools may already be full. If you are a Rutland resident you can download and print out a copy of the Secondary School Application Form or you can ask for a copy to be posted out to you by contacting the Admissions Service:
Call: 01572 722577
You cannot submit a late application online.
Each local authority is responsible for coordinating the secondary school admissions process for children resident within their local authority area. This means that if you do not live in Rutland but you want to apply for a place at a Rutland school, you must submit an application to the Council where you live.
Full details of the application process can be found in our Secondary School Admissions Brochure and if you require any further information or advice, please contact the Admissions Service.
Before submitting your application, it is important to note that the application form will allow you to submit up to 3 preferences of secondary school. We strongly encourage you to use all 3 preferences so that your child has the best opportunity of receiving an offer at a preferred school. Submitting a second and third preference will in no way affect your changes of receiving an offer at your first preference school. The video below explains how your preferences will be processed.
