Offers of primary school places for September 2019 were sent out by Rutland County Council to Rutland residents on the national offer day, 16 April 2019.
An application may still be submitted for a primary school place for September but it is important to bear in mind that some schools may already be full. If you are a Rutland resident you can download and print out a copy of the Primary School Application Form Alternatively, you can ask for a copy to be posted out to you by contacting the Admissions Service on 01572 722577 or by emailing email@example.com You cannot submit a late application online.
If you live in another local authority area please contact your own Council for information about how to submit a late application for a Rutland school.
Each local authority within England is responsible for coordinating the primary school admissions process for children resident within their local authority area. This means that parents must submit an application to the Council where they live even if they wish to apply for a place at a school in another local authority area. For example, if you live in Rutland but would like to apply for a primary school place in another county, you must submit your application to Rutland County Council. If you live in another county but would like to apply for a place at a primary school within Rutland, you must submit your application to the Council where you live.
To assist parents we have produced a brochure, Starting Primary School in September 2019, which explains the process of applying for a primary school place and offers information about the primary schools in Rutland. It is important that you read the information contained in the brochure before submitting your application to ensure that you are aware of your preferred schools' admission arrangements (policy) and to check if school transport will be available for your child.
If you have any queries about the primary school admissions process please contact the Admissions Service on 01572 722577 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
