Admission Arrangements

Admission authorities must determine (agree and publish) their admission arrangements (policy) each year. You can find copies of the admission arrangements for schools within the Rutland area, and any relevant supplementary forms below.  Alternatively, copies can be obtained from the relevant school direct or by contacting our Admissions team on admissions@rutland.gov.uk

     
Please note that the following schools are covered by the Rutland Learning Trust Admissions Policy:
    

  • Ketton C of E Primary School
  • St Nicholas C of E Primary School
  • Whissendine C of E Primary School

While the following schools are covered by the RCC Admission Arrangements:

  • Empingham C of E Primary School
  • Exton & Greetham C of E Primary School
  • Great Casterton C of E Primary School
  • Oakham C of E Primary School
  • Uppingham C of E Primary School

Admission Arrangements for 2017 were determined in February 2016 and, once determined, a copy must be published on our website. These determined admission arrangements must comply with admissions law and adhere to the School Admissions Code.  A copy of the School Admissions Code can be viewed on the Department for Education website.

You can download a copy of the determined admission arrangements for September 2017 for maintained schools within the Rutland area, and any relevant supplementary forms, by using the links below.  Alternatively, copies can be obtained from the relevant school direct or from ourselves. 

Admission Arrangements for 2018 were determined in February 2017 and, once determined, a copy must be published on our website.  These determined admission arrangements must comply with admissions law and adhere to the School Admissions Code.  A copy of the School Admissions Code can be viewed on the Department for Education website.

You can download a copy of the determined admission arrangements for September 2018 for maintained schools within the Rutland area, and any relevant supplementary forms, by using the links below.  Alternatively, copies can be obtained from the relevant school direct or from ourselves.

The School Admissions Code states that when changes are proposed to admission arrangements (admission policy), or there has been no change and no consultation on admission arrangements for 7 years, then the admission authority must consult on their admission arrangements. The consultation must last for a minimum of 6 weeks. 

We are the admission authority for voluntary controlled schools in the Rutland area which means that our admission arrangements apply to the following Rutland schools only:

  • Empingham C of E Primary School
  • Exton and Greetham C of E Primary School
  • Great Casterton C of E Primary School
  • Oakham C of E Primary School
  • Uppingham C of E Primary School.

 The consultation will run from 2 October 2017 to 30 November 2017 and a link to the draft, proposed documents, along with a document providing detailed consultation information is below.
