Local Plan

The Local Plan sets out our planning policies for Rutland for the period to 2026.  It comprises three documents.

We are reviewing and updating the plan to extend the period to 2036 and to combine the three documents into a single Local Plan.

The evidence that supports the preparation of the Local Plan may be viewed on the Local Plan Evidence Base webpages.

Core Strategy Development Plan Document (DPD)

The Core Strategy DPD sets out the vision, objectives, spatial strategy and our planning policies for Rutland.

It was found to be sound following a Public Examination in March 2011 and was adopted by us on 11th July 2011.

Printed copies may be purchased for £28 each plus postage if required.

Site Allocations and Policies DPD

The Site Allocations and Policies DPD allocates sites for development and sets out and our planning policies for Rutland.

It was found to be sound following a Public Examination in November 2013 and was adopted by ourselves on 13th October 2013.

Printed copies may be purchased for £36 each plus postage if required.

Minerals Core Strategy and Development Control Policies DPD

The Minerals Core Strategy and Development Control Policies DPD sets out planning polices for minerals related development in Rutland.

It was found to be sound following a Public Examination in April 2010 and was adopted by ourselves on the 11th October 2010.
