Water and flooding

The below directories forms part of the evidence base to support the preparation of the Local Plan.

The Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) forms part of the evidence base to support the preparation of the Local Plan.

The assessment comprises:

  •  a “Level 1” SFRA that examines flood risk across Rutland including maps showing all identified sources of flood risk and an assessment of the implications of climate change on flood risk;
  • a “Level 2” SFRA that reviews flood risk in Oakham and Uppingham in more detail including guidance in relation to future policies and proposals.

The Water Cycle Study forms part of the evidence base to support the preparation of the Local Plan.

The overall aim of the study is to identify the programme of water services infrastructure and implementation that will be needed to support delivery of sustainable growth up to 2026.

The report is in three parts:

  • Technical Report giving the full technical detail of the study process, assessments and findings;
  • Planning Summary Report identifying the main planning issues arising from the report;
  • Key Constraints Assessment (this how now been largely superseded by the Technical and Planning reports).
