Strategic Flood Risk

The Strategic Flood Risk Assessment 2009 (SFRA) forms part of the evidence base to support the preparation of the Local Plan. A SFRA update paper has been prepared which reviews the findings of the 2009 SFRA and updates it to reflect the latest climate change requirements set out by the Environment Agency.

The Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (2009) assessment comprises:

  •  a “Level 1” SFRA that examines flood risk across Rutland including maps showing all identified sources of flood risk and an assessment of the implications of climate change on flood risk;
  • a “Level 2” SFRA that reviews flood risk in Oakham and Uppingham in more detail including guidance in relation to future policies and proposals.
