Changes to building control from 1 July 2021

Due to some fundamental changes to the way central government is proposing to change building control as part of the Building Safety Bill currently going through parliament, we have taken the decision to enter into a service level agreement with Blaby District Council.

Blaby currently provide a similar service to four other local authorities (Melton, Market Harborough, Hinckley & Bosworth and Oadby & Wigston) which operates under the Leicestershire Building Control Partnership Banner.

We will be adopting the Blaby District Council fees schedules.

Our long term goal is for our building control to fully join the Leicestershire Building Control Partnership.
