There are changes to the way our library services are running at the moment, because of COVID-19 - visit the library website for more information

We have public libraries in:

  • Ketton
  • Oakham
  • Ryhall
  • Uppingham

We also a mobile library that visits villages across Rutland.

Library services

All our libraries are free to join and offer a range of fantastic services, including:   

  • book, audio book, eBook and large print loans (free)
  • children’s fiction and information books to borrow (free)
  • request items that are in stock, and no overdue charges! (free)
  • DVD hire
  • library catalogue, with a dedicated catalogue just for children
  • Books on Prescription service
  • home library service – home deliveries if you're unable to visit the library (free)
  • Ancestry.com and FindMyPast access (from your own home)

We have had to suspend these services due to COVID-19 - we hope to restart them as soon as conditions allow:

  • Mobile Library service – although home deliveries are still available
  • Book Start story times and rhyme times for children under five
  • wi-fi and internet access on our touch-screen computers
  • author events and regular hands-on activities
  • photocopying and printing
  • practise for your driving test online with Theory Test Pro
