Education and Careers

The Youth Education and Careers Service is based at Jules House in Oakham and offers help and support for young people with their future plans. The service works closely with other support services within the team at Jules House and can direct you to the right people to get the help you need.

The Youth Education and Careers Service offers:

One to One careers advice and guidance interviews; support with searching for jobs; advice and help with CV’s; application forms; interview techniques; a vacancy information service for young people and employers; information, advice and guidance on courses and training opportunities.

Careers advice is offered to the following young people:

        
  • Those not in education, employment or training aged 16-19 living in Rutland
  • Young people who are currently supported in school or college by the Youth Education and Careers Service.
  • Young people with an education health and care plan ( EHCP)  currently or previously, up to age of 25
  • Young people who have need further help after GCSE results
