The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust - COVID-19 Impact Programme

This programme aims to make sure people from Armed Forces communities can keep accessing important services, where resources for these services have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

£160 million of emergency funding is being made available to artists and organisations working in the arts and cultural sector during the pandemic.

Building Futures

Persimmon’s Charitable Foundation is relaunching its Building Futures scheme for 2020. As part of its sponsorship of Team GB, Persimmon will donate more than £1 million to support children in sport, health and education.

CAF – Coronavirus Emergency Fund

This fund has been set up to help smaller charitable organisations affected by the impact of COVID-19.

Grants of up to £10,000 will be available to help organisations to continue to deliver much needed support to communities across the UK.

Community Champions

Persimmon’s Community Champions initiative has run since 2015 and gives away £64,000 every month in single donations up to the value of £1,000. 

Persimmon has decided that from April 2020 all funding will go directly to groups supporting the over 70s.

Crisis – In This Together Grants Programme

Crisis wants to support charitable organisations who work with people experiencing rough sleeping and homelessness, who are financially affected by additional demands on their resources as a result of COVID-19.

Food Charities Funding Grant

 

The Government have launched a grants scheme to fund not-for-profit organisations who are providing food parcels or meals to vulnerable people during the COVID-19 crisis.

John Lewis – Community Support Fund

A £1m UK-wide community support fund will be available across the UK to help those in need across local communities.

Teams in each Waitrose shop will work together with their communities to choose the best way to use the fund. Help could include:

  • setting up additional local delivery services to support the self-isolating,  the  vulnerable, the elderly and those looking after them
  • delivering boxes of staples to local care homes and community groups.
  • donating products to create care packages for customers to share with vulnerable neighbours.

Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation – The Coronavirus Support Fund

This fund is open to constituted charitable and community organisations in Leicester, Leicestershire or Rutland working with local people facing the most hardship in the pandemic.

Grants of between £500 and £2,500 are available.

National Emergencies Trust – Coronvirus Appeal

The National Emergencies Trust (NET) has launched an appeal to raise funds for local charities and grassroots organisations that can provide vital support to people in the quickest way possible.

The resulting fund is being administered by the LLR Community Foundation.

National Lottery Community Fund

The National Lottery Community Fund is to commit up to £300m over the next six months to helping charities tackling the coronavirus crisis.

The National Lottery Heritage Fund are providing a package of support for the heritage sector as a response to COVD-19. They are accepting applications for funding from £3,000 to £50,000.

Neighbourly Community Fund

Neighbourly are launching a series of micro-grants of up to £400, to support good causes that are helping communities affected by the Coronavirus outbreak.

Grants will be awarded to existing members of Neighbourly in UK and Ireland whose work will involve supporting members of the community suffering economically, socially or from ill health as a result of the outbreak.

This fund aims to help community sport and physical activity organisations who are experiencing short term financial hardship or the ceasing of operations due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Sylvia Adams Charitable Trust – small grants to support children’s charities affected by COVID-19

Registered charities working with early years disadvantaged children in England and Wales can apply for small sums of unrestricted funding to assist them during this difficult period.
