COVID-19 rapid asymptomatic testing in Rutland

Rapid asymptomatic testing is also known as lateral flow testing.

It's a fast, free way for people without symptoms (asymptomatic) of COVID-19 to find out if they have the virus. The tests are voluntary.

This test is different to the test you’d have if you had symptoms of COVID-19.

Around one in three people with COVID-19 do not have any symptoms and could spread the virus without knowing it.

How to collect or order lateral flow tests

Collect tests through the Rutland Community Collect scheme

Collect tests from a pharmacy

Order tests to be delivered to your home

Community testing van

Arthur, our mobile testing van, is on hand to help you, your friends and family stay healthy while we are all getting back to the things we have missed.

If you're a community group, business, charity organisation or are hosting an event and would like either lateral flow kits or the community van Arthur to attend the event, please email Elisabeth Garden, RISE Community Testing Coordinator at:

If you have any symptoms of COVID-19

If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, you'll need to take a PCR test instead of a lateral flow test.

You can book a PCR test online or by calling 119.

You must self-isolate until the test result comes back, along with anyone else in your household.

If the result is positive, you must continue to self-isolate for 10 days after the symptoms began.
