We can only provide copy death certificates for deaths that occurred in Rutland
If the death occurred outside of Rutland you will need to contact the appropriate council to that area. If you don’t know the district, you can apply to the General Register Office.
You will need to provide full details of the individual’s names as well as the date and place of death.
Copy Certificates cost £11 each.

Civil registration began on 1st July 1837. Before this date, the church kept records for births, deaths & marriages.
