Help with emergency food and essentials

Who can get extra help?

To get financial crisis funding you must:

  • Reside in Rutland
  • Be able to demonstrate that you have a severe financial crisis that will affect the health and wellbeing of you and/or your family if help isn’t provided

Some examples of when financial crisis funding can be paid

  • A household is fleeing domestic abuse and can’t access any funds to buy food and essential items
  • A fire or flood has destroyed essential household items and funds for replacements are not available elsewhere
  • You were previously homeless and can’t access any funds to buy essential household items

Some examples of when financial crisis funding can’t be paid

  • Alternative funds are available
  • You are living beyond you means

Please note that Rutland Citizens Advice Bureau manage all crisis applications on our behalf

You will need to provide as much detail as possible about your situation. You may be asked to provide evidence to support your application.
