We're asking for your views on polling facilities across Rutland, to make sure that venues used for voting in elections are still suitable.
We're inviting people to have their say as part of a review of polling districts, polling places and polling stations, with responses needed by 22 November 2018.
The process aims to make sure the facilities are in the most appropriate locations and are fully accessible ahead of the next local government elections in May 2019.
“We have a duty to review polling districts and places across Rutland, which provides a great opportunity ensure each one is good condition and in the suitable location. Anyone who is interested can submit their views. In particular, it’s important that we hear from groups or individuals that understand the requirements for disabled access.”
Helen Briggs, Chief Executive and Returning Officer
Maps of current polling districts and details of polling places may be inspected at the Council’s offices in Oakham or on our Polling Place Review page.
Anyone wanting to share their views should email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alternatively, people can send responses by post to Polling Places Review, Electoral Services, Rutland County Council, Catmose, Oakham, Rutland LE15 6HP.
