Two new Rutland County Councillors have been elected following local by-elections.
By-elections for Whissendine and Ketton Wards took place on Thursday 20 July 2017.
Ian Arnold (Independent) was elected as Ward Member for Whissendine with 212 votes. Gordon Brown (Conservative) was elected as Ward Member for Ketton with 459 votes.
Both will serve as Rutland County Councillors until the next round of normal elections in 2019.

- Ian Arnold (Independent) 212 votes ELECTED
- Peter Jones (Conservative) 102 votes
- Sue Lammin (Independent) 46 votes
- Johannah Randall (Lib Dem) 32 votes
Result for Ketton
- Gordon Brown (Conservative) 459 votes ELECTED
- Kenneth Siddle (Lib Dem)208 votes
