Rutland County Council’s Adult Social Care and Adult Learning Service is working with supermarket Lidl so that local jobseekers without access to a computer can apply for roles at the food retailer’s new Oakham store.

Anyone interested in working at the new Lidl branch in Oakham, which is due to open in February 2018, will be able to use the brand new ICT suite at Oakham Library to apply for a role.

Jobseekers will be able to use the library facilities to complete the application form, which is only available online, with dedicated sessions taking place on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 18th October
  • Wednesday 1st November

The ICT suite at Oakham Library will be reserved from 2.00pm to 4.00pm with computers available for use, as well as dedicated spaces in the ICT area for people who bring their own laptop or tablet, as well as access to free Wi-Fi.

You do not need to be registered as a library member to attend the sessions however there will be an opportunity to sign up on the day.

Job seekers in Rutland can already benefit from free employment advice and support thanks to regular Jobcentre Plus sessions at Oakham Library. Jobcentre Plus sessions take place every two weeks and further information can be requested by emailing:  esupport@rutland.gov.uk

Oakham Library is open from 9.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday and 9.30am to 4.00pm on Saturdays.
