Discover Rutland is delighted to announce the launch of a brand new website and Spring Summer guide for visitors.
People living in Rutland or wanting to visit the area will find helpful tips and advice on things to do, places to stay and local events, both online and in the popular printed publication.
The biannual visitor guide celebrates the multitude of seasonal activities happening in the county and is circulated via national tourist information centres, to local attractions, businesses and properties in Rutland and the surrounding market towns. This useful publication includes information on events, local businesses and articles exploring the history of Rutland, as well as tasty recipes, advice on staying fit and healthy and fun reading for all ages.
This new edition will include ‘Time Travels at Rutland County Museum’, ‘Secret Gardens’ and an extended feature on ‘Diary Dates’. The guide is also available to view on the website by clicking on view brochure.
The upgraded website comes with an improved special offers page, TripAdvisor ratings, itinerary planner and is fully mobile and tablet responsive. It also encourages people to upload their local event information, creating a useful listing of what’s on in the area.
“For people wanting to visit Rutland, the Discover Rutland website is a useful source of information. The site is an important marketing tool for the county and attracts an average of over 45,000 views each month. The new website is not only more attractive but also easy to navigate, informative and accessible on all devices. The new event submission feature means that it will be the best place to find out what’s happening locally.”
Ed Burrows, Deputy Lieutenant and Chair of Discover Rutland
Businesses that are part of the Discover Rutland membership scheme benefit from a web listing and will now be able to log in to update their own information and upload special offers, making the site more current.
