Change to High Street one-way system

Date Published: 26 April 2017
Oakham High Street

A temporary one-way system in place along Oakham High Street is to be reversed from 8th May, with traffic flowing east to west between Mill Street and New Street.

The one-way traffic system along the High Street and Market Place in Oakham is currently in operation to help with the completion of ongoing utility works. It is due to remain in place until early July 2017 and is also allowing the Council to test one of the options for town centre improvements, planned for 2018.

Pedestrian crossings will remain switched off during this period and will be reinstated once the one-way system has been removed.
