Rutland County Councillor Alan Walters has joined the Conservative Group with immediate effect.
Cllr Walters is one of two Ward Members for Oakham North East and previously served as an Independent Councillor, leading the Council’s Independent Group, which formed in May 2015.
The Independent Group will now consider its position and the appointment of a new group leader.
