Purpose for processing:

We hold this information so that we can process your application for housing in accordance with the Housing Act and for our advice service which includes the prevention of Homelessness which falls under the Homeless Reduction Act 2017 agenda. We also use this information to report statistical returns to Government to assist in the long term delivery of housing services across the County. We have statutory duties to fill and we are therefore required to hold this information for service delivery, service improvement, Prevention and Safeguarding purposes, Crime and Fraud and for Planning/Research purposes.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the legal basis/bases we rely on for processing personal information for general purposes are:

  • Legal Obligation - The processing is necessary to comply with the law (not including contractual obligations).
  • Public Task - The processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or an official function, with a clear basis in law.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the legal basis we rely on for processing special personal information for general purposes are:

  • Public Health - The processing is necessary for the delivery of Health and Social Care Services.
