Stay home and save lives this Easter

Rutland County Council fully supports the government’s COVID-19 guidance urging people to stay at home and save lives.

This Easter weekend, we would remind everyone that Rutland Water is currently closed to visitors and that no one should be leaving their home unless for essential reasons. These are:

  • Shopping for basic necessities as infrequently as possible.
  • One form of exercise a day - alone or with members of your household
  • Any medical need or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person
  • Travelling for work if you cannot work from home

Even when doing these essential activities, you should minimise time spent outside your home and make sure you stay at least two metres away from anyone who isn't a member of your household.

Enjoy the Easter weekend safely. Please stay home, protect the NHS and save lives.

Please see the government's website for further advice and guidance around coronavirus.
