Rutland County Council are flying the rainbow flag for inclusion and diversity at the Council offices throughout February to mark LGBT+ History Month.

The flag is a symbol of Rutland’s commitment to its lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender citizens.

“It is with great pride that Rutland County Council are flying the rainbow flag at the Council Offices, not only to support LGBT+ History Month, but also to celebrate the diverse community we have in Rutland.”Councillor Oliver Hemsley, Leader of Rutland County Council

The theme of this year’s event, founded by Schools OUT UK in 2005, is ‘Body, Mind, Spirit’.

More information and a programme of online events and resources can be found on the LGBT+ History Month website.
