Message from Cllr Oliver Hemsley, Leader of Rutland County Council re A-Level results

Date Published: 14 August 2019
Council Leader Oliver Hemsley

"That time of year has rolled around again, when young people around the county find out how their hard work has paid off and whether they have received the grades they wanted for GCSE and A-Levels.
I know, having children myself, how nerve wracking result day can be for all involved and what a mix of emotions can be felt once those grades are finally revealed.
My message to my children and to all young people who are expecting results over the next two weeks is … whatever your grades, you should be exceptionally proud of your achievements and the work you have put in to get to this point.
Whether you achieve grades you wanted, or are surprised because they are better than expected, or disappointed because they are not what you expect, you have a host of options available to you for your next steps.

There is helpful advice for both GSCE and A-Level students on the Rutland County Council website."
