Date Published: 14 March 2017
Damage to Ketton bridge

A bridge between the villages of Ketton and Collyweston has been badly damaged and is now closed following a road traffic collision involving a single vehicle.

The road has been closed to all traffic, vehicular and pedestrian and will remain closed until repairs can be carried out.

Diversions are in place via the A47, Wireless Hill, and the A6121 and will remain until the bridge is made safe. For further details, see the Roadworks website.

The crash took place on Saturday 11th March around 11pm and involved a lorry, which would have had considerable damage to its front end.

The police require further information to help with their investigation and are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have any further details to call the police non-emergency number on 101 quoting the reference 739-11 March.
