Disruption to waste and recycling collections

Date Published: 12 September 2022
Waste and recycling

Some waste and recycling collections in Rutland have been delayed due to roadworks and several vehicle breakdowns.

Some properties in Glaston are waiting to have black bins collected. These were due to be collected as normal on Wednesday 7 September. Collection will now take place on Tuesday 13 September.

Collection of recycling bins from communal properties in Oakham and Uppingham has been delayed. These will take place as soon as a suitable collection vehicle is available this week.

Grey recycling bins from the following residential areas in Ryhall are also awaiting collection:

  • Balk Road
  • Coppice Road
  • Spinney Close
  • Spinney Lane
  • St Tibba Way
  • Burley Road

Affected residents are asked to please leave their bins outside of properties and we will return to collect them this week.

We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause and are working to catch up on all outstanding collections as quickly as possible.
