Councillor Richard Alderman Resigns

Councillor Richard Alderman (Independent) has resigned as a Rutland County Councillor with immediate effect.

Councillor Alderman’s resignation was received by Rutland County Council on 21 February 2019.

His seat as a Ward Member for Oakham South West will remain vacant until May 2019, as a by-election cannot be called within six months of scheduled local government elections (due to take place in Rutland on 2 May 2019).

The outcome of complaints about Councillor Alderman made to Rutland County Council under its Code of Conduct will be reported to the Council’s next Standards Committee.
