People who travel by bus in Rutland are being invited to attend an open meeting of the County’s next Bus Users Group on Tuesday 8 October 2019.
The Bus Users Group has been set up by Rutland County Council, local residents and bus operators as a forum to discuss local services.
The Group’s October meeting is due to take place in the Council Chambers at Rutland County Council from 10.15am to 11.45am.
“We know public transport is something that many people feel very strongly about. It’s also an area where the Council is committed to working with people to make sure services are fit for purpose and meet local travel needs. The Bus Users Group has been created as a way to exchange information and ideas and, ultimately, deliver the best possible transport services within our budget constraints.”
Councillor Lucy Stephenson, Cabinet Member for Transport
The Council is happy to receive public transport-related questions to be discussed at the Bus Users meeting. These must be submitted in advance by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alternatively, you can write to: Transport Team, Rutland County Council, Catmose, Oakham, Rutland, LE15 6HP.
Written questions can also be hand delivered to Rutland County Council’s main reception or given to a member of staff at any one of Rutland’s local libraries.
Lastly, you can contact the Council’s Transport Team by phone by calling: 01572 720 923.
Please include your name and email address or telephone number with any written questions if you are not able to attend the group and would like to receive a separate response.
“We know some people will not be able to attend these meetings in person due to other commitments but we are still keen to hear from them and happy to respond to their questions outside of the Users Group, by phone or email.”
Councillor Lucy Stephenson
The closing date for submitting questions for the October Bus Users Group meeting is Friday 27 September 2019.
