Barleythorpe Road Maintenance Work

Due to maintenance work needed on Barleythorpe Road in Oakham, a temporary one-way system will be in place between the level crossing and the Lands’ End Way junction on Monday 12 November 2018.

Traffic will be able to exit Oakham along Barleythorpe Road as normal. Traffic entering the town from the direction of Barleythorpe will be diverted along Lands’ End Way, Burley Park Way, Burley Road and the High Street.

The works are expected to take one day to complete, after which the road will reopen to two-way traffic, as normal.

The following bus services accessing Oakham will be affected and may experience minor delays as a result: 

  • Service 29 – afternoon only
  • Service 47 – morning only
  • Service 185 – morning only
  • Service 113
  • Service RF1
