The Armed Forces Officer and the Armed Forces Champion

Armed Forces Officer

Rutland has a dedicated 'Armed Forces Officer' whose role it is to support our Armed Forces Community.

If you are a serving member of the Armed Forces, a reservist, a veteran or a service family in Rutland, our Armed Forces Officer can help you with:

  • access to healthcare
  • education and school placements 
  • employment and training opportunities
  • access to housing and accommodation

Armed Forces Champion

The current Armed Forces Champion for Rutland County Council is Cllr Ian Razzell who helps make sure that we deliver on our commitments to the local Armed Forces Community.

Major (Retd) Ian Razzell is a veteran of the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) with 32 years of military service. Our Armed Forces Champion
