We are proud to support the local Armed Forces community in Rutland and have pledged our ongoing support for the services by signing the official Armed Forces Community Covenant.
Our commitment to the local Armed Forces community can be seen through our work with regiments who are based here in Rutland and by way of our Armed Forces Champions.
In recent years, we’ve enjoyed working closely with 2 Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment and 7 Regiment The Royal Logistic Corps at Kendrew Barracks in Cottesmore, as well as 16 Regiment Royal Artillery, 1 Military Working Dogs and 2 Medical Regiment at St George’s Barracks, North Luffenham.
The Armed Forces Community Covenant shows that a community is willing to do everything possible to provide help, advice and support to members of the Armed Forces Community.
In return, the Armed Forces Community promises to do as much as they can to support their community and promote activity that integrates the service community into civilian life.
The Covenant also recognises and remembers sacrifices faced by the Armed Force Community. This includes in-Service and ex-Service personnel and their families.
