Local Access Forum

Local Access Forums (LAFs) are advisory bodies made up of volunteers who provide independent strategic advice on improving public access to land.  We work in partnership with Lincolnshire county council to support the South Lincolnshire and Rutland Local Access Forum (SLRLAF), which is a joint forum covering a geographical area stretching from Rutland in the South to Lincoln in the North (map of forum area).

When does the forum meet?

The forum usually meets four times a year (meetings are always open to the public). The agenda is set by the Chair, working in consultation with officers from the appointing authorities. If you would like the forum to consider a particular issue please contact the forum Secretary not less than 14 days before the next meeting.  Minutes from previous meetings may be obtained from the Lincolnshire council committee records system

The next meeting of the forum is on:  at 18:00 on the 11 th July

The Storehouse,

North Parade,

PE25 1BY

Can I join the Local Access Forum?

Forum members are unpaid volunteers but we pay members expenses for travelling to meetings.  Although the forum usually meets only four times per year and there is an element of work “behind the scenes”, liaising and networking with others.  Members represent areas of interest including nature conservation, tourism, farming and access for the disabled.  If you’re interested in joining the forum contact the rights of way team to see if there are any vacancies and request an application pack.
