Public Rights of Way
What Are Public Rights of Way
A 'Public Right of Way' is a right for the public to pass over land which belongs to someone else.
Definitive Map
The Rutland Definitive Map (and Statement) is the legal records of all the county's public rights of way (footpaths, bridleways, restricted byways and byways open to all traffic).
Countryside Access Forum
Countryside Access Forums advise decision making organisations (such as local authorities) about making improvements to public access for outdoor recreation and sustainable travel.
Highways statements
We hold the register of deposits under s31 of the Highways Act 1980 and S15 of the Commons Act 2006.
