Connecting to faster broadband

Superfast fibre broadband makes everything quicker online. It means everyone can watch, download and do what they want on the internet at the same time.

Upgrading doesn’t happen automatically. You need to contact your internet service provider to ask about upgrading to a fibre package.

Digital Rutland - How to connect

Go Superfast

You can get faster broadband and find the best deal in three easy steps.

Step 1

Contact your chosen internet service provider to see if superfast broadband is available at your address. You can also check online using the free Go Superfast Checker.

Step 2

Ask your current provider if you can upgrade to a superfast (or faster) broadband package within your existing contract, or shop around using a broadband comparison site to find the best deal.

Ofcom's independent Boost Your Broadband website has lots of practical tips and advice to help you get started and find the best deal.

Step 3

Place your order and get connected! If you choose Fibre to the Cabinet, your Internet Service Provider will arrange the connection, send you a router, and tell you when it is live.

With Fibre to the Premise, you may need a visit from an engineer.
