Our social value commitment through Procurement
This is where we will look to maximise additional social value benefits (economic, social and environmental) to the local community through our tender opportunities for contracts valued above £50,000 per annum, were it is considered relevant and proportional to the contract being tendered.
We will do this by considering what additional ‘social value benefits’ can be obtained from the contract opportunity beyond the scope of the core specification requirements. The impact of these social value benefits on the local community and on peoples’ wellbeing will be measured during the life of the Contract, to ascertain the extent to which these social benefits support the delivery of improved outcomes for the community.
Our Social Value Policy Statement provides examples of the types of social value outcomes that suppliers may be ask to demonstrate as part of a tender process, please refer in full to Policy Statement.
