Economic Growth Strategy

Our Economic Growth Strategy was adopted in January 2015 and sets out our overall vision for the growth and development in Rutland over the next  five years.

Our vision

Our vision for Rutland is that, by 2021, we want a vibrant, prosperous, sustainable and diverse economy.

We plan to achieve this by:

  • Playing on our strengths – building on our wealth of natural, cultural, leisure and heritage assets
  • Maximising public and private investments
  • Encouraging growth while retaining our unique characteristics
  • Supporting growth at a community level
