Healthy weight and food survey

We want to create an environment and local services that help all Rutland residents achieve and maintain a healthy weight.

At the moment, more than 6 in 10 Rutland adults are overweight or obese. For children in their last year of primary school, that number is around 3 in 10.

Weight can be a complex issue that depends on a person's genetics, as well as a range of social, economic, environmental, and psychological factors. Because of this, we need to work together to understand the main causes of unhealthy weight in our area.

About this survey

If we don't know precisely why obesity rates are at their current rate, we can't provide the right kind of support to help bring them down. We've gained some insight on physical activity from recent partner surveys and so the focus here is mainly on food and healthy eating.

Please help us by sharing your views, experiences, priorities and suggestions on how we can better support you and other people living in Rutland.

Taking part

Our short online survey runs until 4.00pm on Friday 27 September and takes around 10 minutes to complete.

We won’t be asking for your name or address, so your responses will remain totally anonymous.

Anyone without internet access can take part in this survey by calling us on: 01572 722 577.
